Johannesburg - Surrounded by millions of rands worth of Lamborghinis and Bentleys, Morgan Beatbox was in good company.
On Tuesday, the international celebrity beatboxer, armed with just his voice, a microphone and a loop station, made music with the high-octane sound of the two Lamborghinis.
Parked at car retailer, Imperial Collection in Bryanston, the cars, together with Morgan, made music that could rival most electronic dance music DJs. This was a dress rehearsal for the upcoming Clarkson, Hammond & May show in Joburg next week.
Formerly known as Top Gear Live, the show will be a live-action motoring theatre show that will feature amazing stunts, incredible supercars and music-making Lambos.
“We’ll be working with seven Lambos, dating back 60 years,” said Chris Hale, the producer of the event. He has produced and directed projects for the BBC, Sky and National Geographic, to name a few.
“Over the last 10 years I have done some strange things, in some even stranger place,” he said, much like Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, who have raced all sorts of vehicles across various landscapes.
The live show will take place from June 12-14at the TicketPro Dome in Joburg. Tickets start at R395 and go up to R995 for each of the five shows.
Petrol heads can also look forward to a motoring expo.
