Webster Parish, Louisiana – A police chase in Louisiana came to a dramatic conclusion on Tuesday after a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck, driven by an escaped prisoner, drove through a ditch after crossing police spike strips and then launched into the air, accidentally performing a jump that would make a World Rally driver jealous.

, the bakkie then landed on a Toyota Corolla in a restaurant parking lot, and a woman was very lucky to have emerged unscathed from the car.
The driver, who had reportedly reached speeds of up to 185km/h during the chase, was just 18 years old and was an escaped work-release participant. Needless to say, police managed to apprehend him and it’s unlikely that he’ll know freedom for a very long time.
