Great Wall Motors has expanded its Florid hatch range in South Africa to include a new Florid Cross model aimed at active lifestyles.
Similarly to VW's Cross Polo, the new GWM Florid Cross carries tougher-looking add-on bits such as black exterior trim, 16" rims rather than 15's, roof rails and a redesigned nose and grille with slightly different spotlights.
Mechanically the Florid Cross is identical to the standard Florid, with a 1.5-litre petrol engine making 77kW and 138Nm. Equipment levels are also the same including antilock brakes, dual crashbags, aircon, power windows and remote central locking.
The Florid Cross costs R123 837, which includes a three-year or 100 000km warranty. - INL Motoring
