REVALED ABROAD: M-Sport Ford Ranger

While seemingly every second Ford Ranger in South Africa has some kind of 'Raptor lookalike' kit, UK motorsport specialist M-Sport has come up with an even more macho interpretation of how a Ranger should look in its wildest form.

No performance enhancements have been made however, apart from the fitment of a new sports exhaust system, but the M-Sport Ranger does sport some rather bold design features.

Created in conjunction with Van Sport and Carlex Design, this Ranger is set apart by a redesigned grille with laser lights, bespoke bumpers, 18-inch matte graphite alloys, wheel-arch extensions as well as matte black mirrors and side steps.

The conversion also includes a Peddlers sports suspension, which can be upgraded to include a 4.4cm lift kit if you opt for the off-road option pack, which also includes roof-mounted laser lights. Buyers can also opt for a full underbody protection kit.

Inside, the M-Sport Ranger gains a racier steering wheel and reupholstered leather seats with a unique pattern.

The modified Ranger, based on the 3.2 TDCi diesel variant, will be available in Europe from September, although there has been no word on South African availability thus far.
