Peugeot has revealed a snazzier version of its latest 3008 crossover. Wearing the GT badge, the new range flagship gains a more powerful engine and a glut of high-end trimmings and features.

The GT will be the only 3008 model fitted with Peugeot's 2-litre BlueHDi 180 turbodiesel engine, which produces 132kW and 400Nm and which is mated to Peugeot's EAT6 six-speed automatic gearbox.

You can tell the GT apart by its two-tone 19-inch alloys as well as its wheel arch extensions and chrome mirror shells. Buyers can make it even more distinctive with Peugeot's 'Coupe Franche' two-tone paint scheme.

The cabin lays on the luxury with 'genuine aged oak' interior inlays as well as Nappa Mistral leather with double-stitch detailing, a massage function for the driver's seat, electric tailgate with foot movement operation and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop function.

The new 3008 range is set to reach South Africa during the first quarter of 2017.
