Moscow - Renault is getting ready to go up against the Toyota C-HR and Nissan Qashqai with a new ‘coupé-like’ global C-segment crossover.

The first teaser pic shows a Megane-like front end complete with C-shaped headlights, while spy shots of disguised prototypes show a sloping tail seemingly inspired by the BMW X6 and Merc’s GLE Coupé.

The new Renault will be revealed in concept form at the Moscow Motor Show in late August, which is fitting because it’ll be built in Russia for global consumption.

Various sources report that the newcomer will be called the Captur Coupé, although theoretically it should be bigger than the Captur if Renault is positioning it as a C-segment vehicle. The answer could lie in the fact that Renault sells a larger version of the Captur in Russia, called the Kaptur, and this would likely form the basis of the 'Coupé'.

Further details will be released at the show, Renault promises.
