Port Elizabeth - Ever since the launch in 2013 of Isuzu Trailview - the interactive tool that lets off-roaders preview trails online - the Trailview team have continued to map some of the most challenging 4x4 trails in the country, capturing and conquering every obstacle, GPS coordinate and mountainous view along the way with their 360-degree camera-equipped KB300 Extended Cab 4x4.

Visitors can plot their journey and view photos, videos and tips from the trail, even adding their own experiences and sightings with a click of a button.

The Trailview portal has now been integrated into the Isuzu website and has evolved into a lifestyle gateway, covering not only 4x4 trails but also mountain bike trails and more, for the intrepid adventurer looking for camping reviews, braai recipes and must-have gadgets.

ALL-ROUND VIEW

Instead of just navigating the trail forwards and backwards, users can now view the entire trail in a much faster, smoother video-based encounter, using the 360° button to get a clear view of the surroundings on the trail.

You can also see the elevation of the route and jump to any point of interest on the map, or explore the environment using the aerial view to get a look at the challenges ahead.

Mountain biking trails have also been added to allow pedal-powered enthusiasts to prepare for the big day - including Isuzu-sponsored events. Each trail includes a review which can be embedded on other websites to increase awareness.

SHARE THE EXPERIENCE

The upgraded Trailview portal even allows users to embed each trail on their own websites, much like you’d embed a YouTube video.
