Two Pakistani men have been arrested in Mondeor, Joburg, on Monday, for possession of a drug called “mirror” with an estimated street value of R25 000, police said.

Patrolling police spotted a suspicious-looking maroon Toyota Corolla on the M1 highway around 2am, Lieutenant-Colonel Tshisikhawe Ndou said.

“They ordered the driver to pull over and searched the vehicle, in which they found three bags and four boxes of mirror,” Ndou said.

“We believe the load was destined for Cape Town.”

The men, both aged 35, face charges of illegal possession of drugs in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. – Sapa
