Qhorha, Eastern Cape - At least 23 goats were found dead in Qhorha near Dutywa, Eastern Cape police said on Saturday.
Police spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha said a 54-year-old man was told by his shepherd that 23 of his goats were found dead on Wednesday afternoon.
“The goats had no visible injuries. They were found dead in one of the gardens of the village,” Manatha said. “The complainant suspects that his goats were poisoned.”
He said the police were investigating a case of animal poisoning and no arrest had been made.
