Johannesburg - The five-year-old boy who was abducted, allegedly by a man and two women at the weekend, has been found at his home in Bram Fischerville, Soweto, Gauteng police said on Monday.

“The boy was found. He was dropped off at his house,” Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.

It was not clear who dropped him off at 11.20am. There was no one home at the time.

“Neighbours saw him in the yard a few minutes ago and called his father, who was with the social workers.”

Makhubela said the boy was weak and being taken to the doctor for a medical examination.

The boy and his 16-year-old sister were home alone when the three arrived in an SUV around 8am on Sunday. They told the children their grandmother was looking for them and they should come to Meadowlands with them.

“When they got to Meadowlands, the vehicle made a U-turn back to Bram Fischerville.”

When they got there, the two women gave the 16-year-old R10 to buy the five-year-old a cooldrink.

“They then drove away with the five-year-old.”

No arrests had yet been made. - Sapa
