Cairo - Egyptian bloggers say a Swedish journalist and fellow blogger has been stopped at Cairo airport, detained by security and is set to be deported.

Per Bjorklund was returning to Egypt from his native Sweden via Prague on Tuesday morning when he was stopped by airport security, according to Egyptian bloggers.

Hossam el-Hamalawy told the Associated Press that he spoke to Bjorklund who told him "his name was on a computer" and he was to be returned to Prague.

The Swedish Embassy in Cairo said they had been contacted by Bjorklund's girlfriend on Tuesday but would not comment further.

On September 3, American Travis Randall was also prevented from entering Egypt.

Both Randall and Bjorklund participated in a small pro-Gaza protest in Egypt in February. - Sapa-AP
