Cairo - US first lady Melania Trump arrived Saturday in Egypt, the final leg of her solo tour to four African countries.
The first lady has already travelled to Ghana, Malawi and Kenya as part of her trip focusing on child welfare, education and conservation.
In Egypt, Trump was due to meet with the wife of President Abdul Fattah al-Sissi and tour the world-famed pyramids and sphinx in Giza near Cairo.
Intissar al-Sissi welcomed Melania Trump's visit, which runs for several hours.
"I am honoured to receive Mrs Trump in Cairo," Intissar al-Sissi wrote on Facebook on Friday.
"I wish her a successful and happy visit to her second country, Egypt," she added.
Egypt is a major Arab ally of the US.
