Johannesburg - SA Airways has temporarily suspended flights to Malawi due to the closure of the country's Blantyre airport, the national carrier said on Wednesday.

The airport's runway was being repaired and maintenance was being performed, SAA spokesman Tlali Tlali said in a statement.
