Mogadishu - Somalia's incumbent leader Sharif Sheikh Ahmed was neck-and-neck with an outsider in the first round of a presidential election Monday, an AFP correspondent who attended the vote said.
Sharif garnered 64 votes against 60 for Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. The two men will go into a four-way second round alongside the outgoing prime minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali, who got 30 votes and Abdikadir Osoble, who took 27. - Sapa-AFP
