Harare - Zimbaweans came out in their numbers on Tuesday to witness a historic moment in their lives...the impeachment of President Robert Mugabe.
Draped in their country's flags, they sang, cheered and prayed as speaker after speaker spoke about the freedom they will taste when Mugabe is no longer their president.
Young and old, they gathered at a park that's opposite the parliament where Mugabe's impeachment was underway.
Some of the placards they carried read: We want our freedom back; Members of parliament do not sellout; We still want our five billion.
The event at the park, which was a prayer session, was represented by different denominations.

The different sermons centred around the struggles of people in the bible amd how they managed to overcome their difficulties.
One of the pastors said Tuesday was the day of the fulfillment of prayer.

"Some peope we losing faith because of the economy and were beginning to be rebellious to Jesus because of the economy and this was because of Robert Gabriel Mugabe.
"Today the scripture says there'll be a leader among us. General Mnangagwa come and lead us," he said.
