A look at the first day back at school

CAPE TOWN -

South African schools officially re-opened on Monday, June 8, following Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga’s announcement that 95 percent of schools in the country have met the Covid-19 requirements.

Schools had initially been scheduled to reopen on June 1 but were delayed as many schools had not yet received their personal protective equipment while others did not meet the minimum Covid-19 health requirements.
