CAPE TOWN -South Africa has recorded 162 more Covid-19 related deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 11 839, while cases are 587 345, an increase of 3 692.
Of the latest fatalities, 70 are from the Eastern Cape, six in the Free State, 27 from Gauteng, 21 from KwaZulu-Natal and 20 from the Western Cape.
Health minister Zweli Mkhize said the total number of recoveries is 472 377, which translates to a recovery rate of 80%.
