Bird Feeder

This is a creative and fun way to teach your children about being kind to nature and help them learn about the different birds in your area.

Materials:

- An empty plastic bottle with a lid (washed and dried thoroughly)

- Knife

- Household twine

- Glue Gun

- Skewer Sticks

- Bird seeds

Wash and dry the plastic bottle a few days in advance. Use the knife to cut 4 small holes at the bottom of the bottle for the skewer sticks to fit through and a medium-sized hole on the lid, for the twine to fit through. Insert the skewer sticks to form an ‘X’. Glue the sticks in place. Thread the twine through the lid and tie a knot large enough to prevent the twine from coming out. Glue the knot to the lid and glue the other end of the twin to the lid, to close spaces around the hole. Fill the bottle with bird seeds and tie the bird feeder to a tree.
