Beetroot and Ginger Smoothie

Ginger has many beneficial effects on the human body, especially during the flu season. It helps relieve body pain, reduce inflammation, fight respiratory issues and helps to strengthen the immune system. Beetroot is good for preventing anaemia and reducing inflammation. It contains copper which helps support immune system function. It’s rich in antioxidants and contains vitamin C, folate, iron and vitamin A.

Ingredients:

• 1 Large Ginger Root

• 1 Beetroot

• 1/2 Cup Lemon Juice

• 2 tbsp Greek Yoghurt

• Honey

Wash and peel the beetroot and ginger and add them to the blender. Add the other ingredients to the blender and blend together. Add honey to make the smoothie sweet.
