Turmeric and Ginger Milk

Turmeric and Ginger Milk, more commonly known as ‘Golden Milk, is an old Indian traditional tonic which has many health benefits that aid in a speedy recovery from flu like symptoms. It contains antibiotic properties to help combat infections, helps improve digestion, reduces inflammation and it contains vitamin D.

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup of milk

• 1 tsp of turmeric

• 1 small piece of grated fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp of ginger powder

• 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder

• 1 pinch of ground black pepper

• 1 tsp of honey

Boil the ingredients together in a pot on the stove for 10 minutes or heat the cup in the microwave for approximately 1 minute for a single serving.
