DURBAN - The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development commenced with their Covid-19 screening today at the Durban Magistrates Court. Together with the Department of Health, this initiative forms part of their effort in containing the spread of the virus at various KwaZulu-Natal court houses.

The regional head of the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, Pat Moodley was on the ground ensuring that the operation was successful.

“We are launching a program this morning with the Department of Health where all people who enter the court will first be screened and only then will they be allowed access to court,” said Moodley.

“So the members of the public are all lining up and we are observing social distancing as you can see and it’s just our effort to make sure that everybody is safe and that our court premises are safe,” added Moodley.
