CAPE TOWN - There are many initiatives and start-ups aiming to uplift and assist communities during the national lockdown.

Cloudy Deliveries is a new delivery service that transports essential goods, groceries and packages at a flat rate of R9 per delivery.

The delivery service is based in Langa, with all deliveries run by teenage boys on bicycles helping uplift the community during the pandemic.

“We are committed to providing you with a reliable alternative to the way you do your shopping and buy goods in our community while impacting the lives of young boys. Make your R9 count” said Cloudy Deliveries on their Facebook Page.

“There are 10 bicycles that will be operating around Langa with the drivers ranging from the ages 16 -19 years with all of them being boys. With our youngest team member Olwethu being 12 years old who tries to make sure that all bicycles are roadworthy and are working properly,” said Cloudy Deliveries
