More African countries will go into lockdown

CAPE TOWN- An expert from the World Health Organisation says that more African countries will go into lockdown in the coming weeks.

Experts from the WHO held an online media briefing regarding the Covid-19 outbreak in Africa.

WHO Regional Director for Africa Dr Matshidiso Moeti says that since South Africa has implemented a 21-day lockdown other neighbouring countries will begin to follow suit.

South Africa kicked off its lockdown period at midnight on Thursday.
