Ramaphosa to visit KZN Covid-19 strategic sites

DURBAN - President Cyril Ramaphosa will be visiting KwaZulu-Natal today in an effort to manage the Covid-19 pandemic.

T

he visit will commence at the Public Works office in Durban, where Ramaphosa will be briefed on the province’s state of readiness on managing the escalation of COVID-19.

Thereafter, the President will proceed to the Dr. Pixley Ka-Isaka Seme Hospital in KwaMashu where Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane- Zulu will continue the briefing with regards to quarantine and isolation cases.

The last stop for the day is at the Royal Show Grounds in Pietermaritzburg.

The Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize will also be accompanying the president on his visit around KwaZulu-Natal.

“I therefore urge each and every South African to continue to play your part in easing the load on the healthcare system- stay home if you do not have to venture out, wear a mask at all times in public places, wash your hands regularly and disinfect surfaces you normally come into contact with," said Mkhize on Monday.
