DURBAN – Under lockdown level 3 restrictions, many tourist hot spots have been allowed to resume business throughout the country. However, due to travel restrictions, these hot spots are open to locals only for hiking and self-game drives.

- Umhlanga Lagoon

- Kranskloof Nature Reserve

- Didima Resort

- Giant’s Castle

- Royal Natal

- Midmar Nature Reserve

- Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park

- All game reserves under ISimangaliso Wetlands Park World Heritage Site

- Wagendrift Nature Reserve

- Kenneth Steinberg.

- Weenen Nature Reserve

- Umlalazi Nature Reserve

- Chelmsford Nature Reserve

- Ithala Game Reserve

All of these hot spots have to be booked in advance to avoid breaking any level 3 restrictions.
