CAPE TOWN - While South Africans are currently in a Level 4 risk-adjusted with a rapidly increasing infection rate, now is a great time to try out gaming.

They say gaming is like reading, you might not be a reader because you haven't been captured by the right book, the same applies to gaming.

With so many genres of games, here's a list of games you should try during lockdown:

1) The Last of Us

An action-adventure apocalyptic game of a smuggler who escorts a teenage girl to safety. The soundtrack in the game is engaging and it has an amazing cinematic experience throughout.

2) Ori and the Will of the Wisps

If you played games as a kid and enjoyed Super Mario Brothers then you will enjoy this. Ori explores and grows in this mystical world in a 2D format. It's available for free on Xbox.

3) Don't Starve Together

It's a survival multiplayer game where you have to see how long you can survive by collecting food, building material, and the art style is creative.

4) The Witcher

An action game based on the novel series of The Witcher, which also has TV series currently airing on Netflix. A medieval fantasy game where you play a character of a Witcher with super-human abilities who is a monster slayer.

5) Hearthstone

A free online mobile card game that has a battle royal mode where you and other players battle it out to see who can survive the longest. It's easy to learn but hard to master.
