Visiting a casino? This is what you need to know

CAPE TOWN –

The adjusted lockdown level 3 regulations opened the doors for casinos to operate but under strict conditions.

Here are five things you need to know if you intending on visiting a casino:

MEMBERS ONLY

While major casinos in South Africa are now open, both Sun International and Tsogo Sun are currently not open to the general public and are limiting entry to members of their player schemes only.

PATRON TRACKING

Casinos are required to gather and track customer information which includes full name, Identity or passport number, residential address and cellphone numbers.

CONFERENCES

Clients who attend for business-related conferences need to follow the same customer tracking process and meetings are limited to 50 people.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Casinos must adhere to all health protocols for physical distancing. They are allowed to fill only 50% of their floor space and maintain customers must adhere to the 1.5m physical distance from each other.

PLAYING

Cards are not to be touched by players and are changed every hour. Slot machines will be regularly sanitised and every second machine has been disabled and partitions have been installed.
