CAPE TOWN -
While the easing of certain restrictions is welcomed by South Africans, President Cyril Ramaphosa stressed the importance of continuing to follow the Covid-19 safety rules to prevent a resurgence.
During his address to the nation, the President said that they’re working closely with the Eastern Cape government as it was identified as a hotspot following a surge in the province.
Meanwhile, experts have warned of a second wave and that testing would help the country to prevent a second wave of the virus.
