CAPE TOWN – Members of the Discovery Health Medical Scheme (DHMS) have the opportunity to pay their month's contributions using their Medical Savings Accounts.

Members with a positive balance on their Medical Savings Account (MSA) can use this option for up to three months.

"For members who are on health plans with a Medical Savings Account (MSA), DHMS will allow members with a sufficient MSA balance to use their positive balance to pay for their total medical scheme contribution for up to three months," read the statement on their website.

"A positive MSA refers to the ‘cash’ balance and does not include the upfront MSA you get at the start of the calendar year. We will pay your total medical scheme contribution from your MSA, and we will adjust your MSA balance accordingly.

"You may not choose to partially pay for your contributions from your MSA balance."

Members can apply for the concession through the online portal where they'll also find an option for concessions on their Vitality Premiums.
