Six people were killed and eight others injured when a truck hit a minibus taxi outside Queenstown on Thursday morning, the Eastern Cape transport department said.
“It happened between 7am and 8am at Ilinge junction on the N6,” said spokesman Tshepo Machaea.
“Four died on the scene and two later in hospital.”
One of the vehicles apparently failed to halt at a stop sign.
“An investigation is going to be held and as such a forensic team from Pretoria will be sent down due to the seriousness of the incident.” - Sapa
