Eshowe - A man claiming to be Satanist appeared in the Eshowe Magistrate's Court on Monday for allegedly killing a six-year-old relative, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Captain Thulani Zwane said 20-year-old Wiseman Tholelani Shandu would appear again on February 14.
He was arrested on Friday for allegedly killing Nokubonga Mhlongo.
She went missing in December and her decomposed body was found next to a river on Friday, when the man pointed out the area to police.
Zwane said the man claimed he was with two friends when Mhlongo joined them near the river in Eshowe last year. She was killed and her body was dumped near the river.
