Pretoria - Thousands of people flocked into the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria, ahead of the ANC provincial manifesto launch on Sunday.

Loud music was played on giant speakers placed on both sides of the stage.

The crowds streaming into the stands danced to the music.

Numerous Tshwane emergency services personnel were on standby with their vehicles, near the stage.

A large poster in the stadium read: “Together we move South Africa forward”.

Before 11am, a convoy of around 20 motorbikes revved their engines in the stadium to loud cheers and ululations by the lively crowds.
