Johannesburg - Police in Botshabelo in the Free State have pleaded with anyone with information after a woman was found dead and half naked next to a soccer field in Section H2.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Martin Xuma said a security officer was on his way to work on Wednesday when he saw the body and alerted police.
"It was an African female body lying next to a soccer field. The police responded to the scene immediately and discovered the body with stones that had blood stains and it was half naked."
Xuma said the woman was wearing black track pants, a black and blue jersey and black and white Puma sneakers.
"She can be 30 years of age, dark in complexion and 1,70 metres tall. Her identity is not known at this stage and anyone who can assist the police by identifying the body or giving concrete information on her killing can contact Detective Warrant Officer Martin Sekwere from Botshabelo Detectives."
