Cape Town – The body of 3-year-old Courtney Peters was discovered at Bofors Circle, Epping not far from her home in Elsies River.
The search for the missing girl is in day 9 has been going on since she disappeared from her home after being left in her brother's care. The family have been frantic, searching for any trace of their missing baby.
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk was at the scene.

"As part of an ongoing search for missing three year old girl from Elsies River, police and community volunteers discovered a child body in Bofors Circle in Epping 2 this afternoon. She was reported missing last week on Thursday. SAPS Crime scene experts and a forensic pathologist were called to the scene. The body has been taken to the mortuary where further tests will be conducted to determine if is that of missing Courtney Pieters of Elsies River. The provincial FCS continue with the investigation. Anyone with any information about this incident is kindly requested to contact police." says FC van Wyk.
