Tonga - A man accused of having sex with two minors appeared in the Tonga Regional Court in Mpumalanga on Tuesday.

Elliot Samuel Kubhayi, 53, pleaded not guilty to statutory rape.

Magistrate Edgar Moletsane set down his trial for September 22 and extended his R2000 bail.

Kubhayi, residing in KaMhlushwa near Malalane but originally from Mozambique, was arrested on June 25 last year, after community members reported that he allegedly kept two Mozambican girls, now aged 11 and 15, as sex slaves at his house.
