Durban cops bust alleged drug dealer

Durban - A 33-year-old man was arrested in Malvern, Durban, on Friday for allegedly dealing in drugs, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

He was allegedly linked to a R41 million drug bust in Hillcrest on November 30 last year, Captain Thulani Zwane said.

Thousands of heroin “straws” with a street value of R21.4 million, 79 000 Mandrax tablets with a street value of R4.1m and 50kg of heroin with a street value of R15m were confiscated.

The man was expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court on Monday.
