Uitenhage - A father and his son were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly stabbing a man to death, Eastern Cape police said.

“This happened after a body of a 33-year-old male was found in a parking area near a shop in Gamble on Tuesday morning,” said Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei.

“The body was found with a stab wound to the upper body. Upon further investigation, the suspects were arrested by Kamesh Crime Prevention Unit and the Uitenhage Crime Prevention Unit in Rosedale.”

Seekoei said the men, aged 49 and 24, were arrested on a charge of murder and would appear soon in the Uitenhage Magistrate's Court.

“The investigating officer will oppose bail in court,” he said.
