Kwaggafonrtein - A man was injured when a crowd attacked foreign nationals in Kwaggafontein on Thursday, Mpumalanga police said.

“One foreigner was hospitalised after he was assaulted,” said Brigadier Selvy Mohlala.

He said locals alleged that body parts were found at one of the foreign nationals' homes.

“We are investigating the issues because for now it is just rumours.”

Police were questioning foreigners and some residents.

Mohlala said police wanted to know from residents where the body parts were seen. The area was quiet after 5pm and police were patrolling.
