Cape Town - Four men accused of killing a Saldanha woman with a panga appeared in the Western Cape High Court on Friday.

Prosecutor Romay van Rooyen asked for another pre-trial conference next month for Marlon van Wyk, Sharif Padayachee, Ricardo Williams and Jerome Januarie.

They would appear again on May 23.

Padayachee was out on bail. The rest remained in custody.

They stand accused of killing 32-year-old Sinodia Schutt last February by smashing her jaw and slashing her with a panga.

Schutt had reportedly been in the process of trying to evict people from her home at the time of her death.
