Four in court for tender fraud

Four businessmen accused of fraud related to Limpopo transport department tenders worth R63 million appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Thursday, the Hawks said.

“Yesterday (Wednesday) we arrested four businessmen for fraud,” said Hawks spokesman Captain Paul Ramaloko.

Mbhazima Sithole, 45, Felix Baloyi, 34, Mphateleni Musubu, 43, and Lufuno Muladi, 27, all directors of various companies, were released on R5000 bail each.

They would appear again on February 26.

Last month, 12 people appeared on similar charges in the same court.

They included Mmakgomo Kgosana, a senior manager in the provincial department.
