Bloemfontein - Five men were arrested in Kutlwanong, near Odendaalsrus, for allegedly kidnapping two girls and keeping them as sex slaves, Free State police said on Monday.

The girls, aged 12 and 14, were released on February 17 and told police they had been kept as sex slaves in a shack behind a house, spokeswoman Molebogeng Lechesa said.

The five men allegedly paid the girls. Police officers accompanied the girls to the scene around 11pm on Sunday.

“The children pointed out the suspects and they were immediately arrested.”

The girls went missing on January 26. The five men, aged between 22 and 25, called themselves “300” and had tattooed the number on the girls.

They would appear in court soon on charges of kidnapping and statutory rape.
