Johannesburg - A 35-year-old Ghanaian national was arrested for fraud on Thursday when police found fake passports and work permits in his flat in Yeoville, Johannesburg metro police said.

“Officers found about 50 fake passports, 100 fake work permits, 10 international vaccination certificates and many new passports without names and photos yet,” Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.

“There were also four passports of individuals from Italy, Kenya and a couple from Belgium.”

The man would appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's court soon on a fraud charge.
