Johannesburg - A 17-year-old boy is expected to appear in the Parow Magistrate's Court on Monday, in connection with what could be a satanic murder.

Western Cape police said the teenager was arrested in Ravensmead, Cape Town, on Saturday after a beheaded body was discovered at a derelict primary school in Ravensmead on Thursday.

“This gruesome discovery was followed by a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the crime, which led detectives to an address in Ravensmead this afternoon (Saturday), where a search warrant was executed,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Andre Traut.

“A search at the residence of the suspect led to the discovery of the head buried in the front garden last night... Paraphernalia suggesting that satanism was a possible motive was found at the residence of the suspect.” - Sapa
