An estate agent was dismissed after he praised alleged “Modimolle Monster” Johan Kotze, on social media network Facebook, it was reported on Saturday.

George Stegmann from Bloemfontein, Free State, was dismissed from Aida on Wednesday when a newspaper reported on the comments he posted on Facebook, the Beeld reported.

Stegmann apparently wrote: “You women think you can get away with almost anything and taunt your husbands. There are still a lot of white Johan Kotze's walking around that are creative. I said that girl was looking for trouble.

“May poor Johan Kotze not take back the boobs he paid for when other men are playing with them. Well done Johan, I am glad that there are men that do not sit with their hands in their pockets and watch.”

Shortly after the post, Stegmann said he was joking.

On Friday, he told the newspaper that reported his posts that he “could not believe people thought he meant what he said.”

“It caused a lot of damage. I will just have to find another job. All that is bad, is my two children,” he told Beeld.

Stegmann did not contest his dismissal.

Kotze, Andries Sithole, Pieta Mohlane, and Frans Mphaka are accused of murdering Kotze's 19-year-old stepson Conrad Bonette at Kotze's house in Modimolle on January 3 this year.

They are also accused of kidnapping, severely assaulting, repeatedly raping, and attempting to murder Kotze's former wife earlier that day.

The matter was postponed and would resume on February 4, 2013. - Sapa
