Johannesburg - A 24-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old mentally disabled girl in Soweto, Gauteng police said.
Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said the man allegedly raped the girl on Tuesday.
He said the man, who was a family friend, ran away after the incident.
The man was arrested at a house in Zola after police received a tip-off.
“The suspect will appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court soon,” he said.
