Butterworth - A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend in Dutywa, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.
The 33-year-old was arrested on Wednesday, after residents tracked him down when he fled, Captain Jackson Manatha said.
It was believed the man and his 27-year-old girlfriend, the mother of his two children, had an argument on Tuesday. He allegedly assaulted her with a hard object and killed her.
He is expected to appear in the Dutywa Magistrate's Court on Friday.
