Johannesburg - A policeman accused of accepting a R1 000 bribe to issue clearance certificates for two vehicles is expected back in the Bellville Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Thursday.

Thuso Mapheele allegedly received a R1 000 bribe from Elton Abrahams at a petrol station in Bonteheuwel on the Cape Flats in September 2009.

The next day he allegedly issued clearance certificates for a Nissan Sentra and a Volkswagen Microbus to Shawn Hendricks, without examining the vehicles.
