Police are investigating the shooting of two men and a woman outside a Green Point restaurant in the early hours of Monday morning.
The incident happened outside Cubaña, a popular Latino-styled café.
Police spokesman Captain Frederick van Wyk said witnesses had seen a man take a firearm out of his two-door red Astra and randomly shoot at the victims. They had been taken to hospital for treatment.
He said the suspect had fled after the shooting.
Van Wyk said the motive for the shooting was unknown and that no arrests had yet been made.
An attempted murder case has been opened and anyone with any information is asked to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
Meanwhile police are investigating the murder of 33-year-old Fernando Hurling, whose body was found bound and gagged in a flat in Sea Point.
Police were called to the flat in Holmfirth Road on Sunday. An officer found Hurling at about 3.50pm in the main bedroom.
