A Limpopo man has been stoned to death after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death in Mankweng, police said on Monday.
Constable Moses Molepo said Johannes Mafikeng, 30, killed his girlfriend Maria Mahlodi Lethole, 30, after accusing her of cheating on him on Saturday.
“Residents tracked him down to a friend's house where he was hiding, and took him outside where he was stoned to death in the early hours of Monday,” he said.
Molepo said eight people were arrested shortly afterwards and would appear in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. – Sapa
