Tonga - A culpable homicide case against an SA National Defence Force (SANDF) member accused of knocking down and killing a 10-year-old scholar patrol pupil in 2011 was postponed on Wednesday.

The accused, Kago Moses Moiroagale, 46, from Potchefstroom, appeared in the Tonga Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, a Sapa correspondent reported.

“I will postpone this matter again for August when the doctor who examined the deceased's body will be available to testify in court,” said senior magistrate Sam Nkuna.

The schoolgirl, Amanda Charmaine Thobela, was killed in the accident at Sibayeni village south of Malalane on September 21, 2011.

Moiroagale has pleaded not guilty to a charge of culpable homicide.

Nkuna postponed the case to August 13.
